The National Calisthenics Conference

“IGNITE 2020”

Friday 17th January 2020
Sunday 19th January 2020

at the

Adelaide Convention Centre, North Terrace Adelaide.

We are very excited to invite calisthenic coaches to attend this event which is shaping up to be a very innovative, inspiring and valuable experience.

The format of the conference allows coaches and adjudicators to attend and participate in a wider variety of workshops, have greater flexibility of choice, benefit from a wide range of trade stalls offering special conference discounts on all things calisthenics, greater opportunities for networking and catching up with interstate friends and a plethora of talented presenters featuring a wide variety of specialists from outside our sport as well as some of our exceptionally talented and knowledgeable coaches from around the country.

The cost of the conference has not increased from our last confernece which is fantastic and includes a Happy Hour welcome reception followed by a keynote speaker on Friday evening, four workshop sessions (including the opportunity to participate in a barre, pilates, acro yoga, zumba, circuit class etc), morning tea, lunch and a 3 course formal dinner on Saturday, three workshop sessions including another opportunity to participate in a class, morning tea and lunch on the Sunday.

Sessions will be offered for newer coaches, experienced coaches and adjudicators and those who are looking for new ideas to reinvigorate their coaching. A wonderful opportunity to renew and refresh before the new calisthenic year begins.

There are plenty of beautiful beaches, wine regions and lots of other things to see and do whist in Adelaide for those wanting to stay on or make it a family holiday. We will be offering travel and accommodation packages for those interested and there is the possibility of staying with SA coaches from a variety of clubs to reduce your extra expenses. Transport to the Adelaide Convention centre is plentiful as it is in the CBD with rail, bus and train access almost at the door, minimal walking from city accommodation and plenty of options close by.

All registrations will be online this year and completed through Ticketbooth, with the option to pay in instalments for those who want to register early. The cost will be $400 for those who register before July 31st, $450 from 1 August but before October 31st, and $500 for those who register after 1st November. Registrations will close on 15th December 2019. We are encouraging clubs and state associations to offer scholarship or subsidies for coaches as we want everyone to have the opportunity to attend.

Some of the workshop sessions being offered will include several different dance styles, teaching aerials and other acro/gymnastic moves, thinking outside the box - developing creativity and choreography, engaging and inspiring participants, preparing candidates for medal exams, focussed strength and core workouts, dealing with anxiety and many more exciting options.

The registration process is slightly different this year - all registrations will be online and once registered coaches will receive further emails with information about the conference, workshop choices and general information.

We are strongly encouraging our calisthenoc clubs to support their coaches and assist them to attend this conference. The knowledge and experiences your coaches gather from the conference will assist them to be more creative, inspired and refreshed and transfer what they have learnt to participants offering a greater level of enjoyment, challenges and positive outcomes for teams and individuals. Newer, younger coaches will learn how to work with their teams at a whole new level and make connections with experienced coaches from around the country who are willing to share their knowledge and skills.

To register click on the link below and follow the prompts.

If you have any problems registering please follow the help instructions via ticketbooth or if you have questions contact

We look forward to seeing coaches from every State and Territory, and remember the earlier coaches register the cheaper it is. As a further incentive to register sooner rather than later -  there will be prize draws for those who are amongst the first 50 to register!

Yours in Calisthenics
